Hi, I’m Nyssa!

I began this blog as a hobby the summer of 2011. With nursing school on its summer break and no mandated summer school, I felt that the perfect summer project would be to create a cooking blog.  However I had no idea how to start a blog. So with many hours spent online searching for blog tips, I began to formulate a plan on how to pursue this goal. I started with Blogger and learned the basics and then moved onto WordPress (Both domains served its purpose. I suggest that if it is your first time to create a blog to try Blogger.)

I began cooking regularly about 1 1/2 years ago. I can’t tell you how many hours I spent online reveling at other cooking blogs. I swear it was almost an addiction.  What I’ve learned is that the only way to be a good cook is through trial and error. Lots of it.

I hope this blog entertains you and inspires you to begin your own culinary adventures. Remember that you are not constrained to the recipe. Feel free to add what you think is necessary-whether it be an extra dash of salt or switching to low fat milk rather than whole milk, etc. Be creative! Cooking allows you to free your mind and explore whatever flavors you want to!

Most importantly, remember to have fun when cooking. Grab your friend, sibling, or special someone and enjoy each other’s company in the kitchen.
